The Accounts Head should have complete knowledge in the following--

a. Finalization of Balance sheets , filing of Tax returns (ST, IT, TDS) etc,
b. Making and analyzing of Financial Statements ,ledgers, reports of various dept, (finance ,marketing ,administration .) and initiating corrective measures.
c. Import based documentation(preferred) and interaction with the foreign Exc staff of our bankers.
d. Advising and participating in the day to day  decision making  process and assisting in the future financial strategies of the organization.
e. Good communication / presentation and interpersonal skills.
